ANKARA (AA) - Chelsea's US winger Christian Pulisic will be out for two months because of a knee injury, the English Premier League club manager said Wednesday.
"Christian’s (Pulisic) going to be out for a couple of months we think. Hopefully, it will be less, but that’s the timeframe there," Graham Potter said at news conference.
"We think Raheem (Sterling) will be out for less time than Christian. We’re still evaluating the actual extent of it, but hopefully, it will be less than that," added Potter.
Pulisic, 24, a Chelsea attacker since 2019, was injured Jan. 5 in a Premier League match against Manchester City.
Man City won the match 1-0 at London's Stamford Bridge.
The US national could be sidelined until March, which means he is going to miss the Borussia Dortmund vs. Chelsea clash in the UEFA Champions League last 16 on Feb. 15.
Pulisic played for the US in the 2022 FIFA World Cup where the Stars and Stripes were eliminated by the Netherlands 3-1 in the Round of 16.
He helped Chelsea win the 2021 UEFA Champions League and a UEFA Super Cup.
Pulisic played for Borussia Dortmund before Chelsea.
