ANKARA(AA) - Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Finnish counterpart, Alexander Stubb, held talks Tuesday in Beijing and agreed to advance a new partnership.
“The two Presidents agreed to further advance the China-Finland future-oriented new-type cooperative partnership,“ Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chuniying wrote on X. “The two countries have since enjoyed friendly relations, mutual respect and mutual trust.”
Stubb arrived Monday in Beijing on a four-day visit to China.
Finland is one of the first Western countries to establish diplomatic ties with China, with Oct. 28 marking the 74th anniversary of relations.
