China issued warnings and an advisory Tuesday for their nationals about far-right riots across the UK, state-run media said on Wednesday.
The Chinese Embassy and consulates in the UK once again reminded Chinese citizens and tourists to closely monitor the local security situation and avoid dangerous places as riots have gripped the UK in the wake of a tragic stabbing, Global Times reported.
The ongoing violent disorder started on July 30, one day after the arrest of Axel Rudakubana, 17, who is charged with the murder of three minors and attempted murder of 10 others in a stabbing attack in Southport.
Despite Rudakubana's background as a Cardiff-born citizen of Rwandan heritage, inaccurate online claims have suggested he is a Muslim refugee who has recently arrived in the UK, fueling tensions.
