ISTANBUL (AA) - China launched a Long March-2C rocket on Thursday, sending two satellites into orbit, state media Xinhua News reported.

The rocket took off at 3.08 pm Beijing time (0708GMT) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.

The rocket successfully delivered the Siwei Gaojing-1 03 and Siwei Gaojing-1 04 satellites.

The launch marked the 561st mission of the domestically-produced Long March series of rockets.

China's first launch in 2025 took place on Jan. 7, when the Shijian-25 test satellite was launched into space by a Long March-3B rocket.
