ISTANBUL (AA) - China successfully launched Thursday a Long March 2D carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan, placing three Yaogan-39 family remote sensing satellites into orbit, according to Beijing-based China Daily.
Beijing employed the "one arrow and three stars" technique to successfully send the satellites into space, it said.
The satellites were successfully launched and smoothly entered the planned orbit, making the launch mission a total success.
It is the 485th mission in the Long March carrier rocket series.
