ISTANBUL (AA) - China launched a Long March 2D carrier rocket to send four satellites into their predetermined orbits.
Among the satellites launched on Sunday, three are designated to obtain remote sensing observation and provide commercial remote sensing services, according to the Beijing-based Xinhua News.
The fourth satellite will be used for “satellite communications technology verification,” the news agency said.
This was the 479th flight of the Long March rocket series.
Last month, China launched its first flat-panel communications satellite into space.
