China launched a commercial carrier rocket with at least five satellites into space Wednesday, state-run media said.
The Lijian-1 Y4 was launched in the morning from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China and sent a group of satellites, including the Jilin-1 SAR01A satellite and Yunyao-1 21-22 satellites, into their planned orbits, Xinhua News reported.
On Tuesday, Beijing also launched at least eight new satellites into space from the sea and all of the satellites were placed into their planned orbit.
