ISTANBUL (AA) - Beijing launched the Tianzhou-7 cargo spacecraft Tuesday from the Wenchang Space Launch Center, according to the China Manned Space Agency.
The Tianzhou-7, carried by the Long March 7 Y8 rocked, was launched into space at 10.27 p.m. local time.
The cargo spacecraft marks the completion of the first manned space project launch in 2024.
The cargo includes 90 kilograms (198 pounds) of fresh fruit, surpassing the 30 kilogram payload of Tianzhou-6, Beijing-based daily Global Times reported.
It also contains spare parts and reliability maintenance components for the space station equipment.
Science experiment payloads and propellants for the space station are part of the cargo.
