ISTANBUL (AA) – China on Thursday launched into space a new earth-observation satellite, state-run media reported.
Using the indigenously-built Long March-4C rocket, the satellite was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China early morning, Chinese People’s Daily reported.
The satellite, Gaofen-3 03 has entered the planned orbit successfully, it added.
This was the 414th mission of the Long March series carrier rockets and China’s ninth launch mission this year.
Last week, China had launched three new satellites into space to undertake scientific space environment surveys and model correction.
