China said on Thursday that it sent a new high-orbit internet service satellite into space, state media reported.
The satellite, which was launched at 9.14 p.m. Beijing time (1314GMT) aboard a Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwestern Sichuan province, entered its preset orbit "successfully," according to the Xinhua news agency.
The latest launch marks the 529th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
