ISTANBUL (AA) – China on Friday launched two new satellites into the space.
Indigenously built Long March rocket carried the two new satellites from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the country's northwest, public broadcaster CGTN reported.
Named Siwei 01 and 02, the satellites will provide “commercial remote sensing data services for industries including surveying and mapping, environmental protection, as well as urban security and digital rural development,” according to the report.
It was the 417th mission of the Long March rocket series.
