ISTANBUL (AA) - China's foreign trade volume in goods expanded by 8.7% year-on-year in the January-February period, official figures showed on Thursday.
According to state-run news outlet Xinhua, the country's foreign trade in goods stood at 6.61 trillion yuan ($931 billion).
China's exports rose by 10.3% to 3.75 trillion yuan (some $531 billion), and imports increased by 6.7% to 2.86 trillion yuan (some $400 billion) over the same period.
In the first two-month period, China's bilateral trade with its main partner, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), was up by 8.1% on a yearly basis.
