ISTANBUL (AA) - China's foreign trade volume exceeded 10 trillion yuan (1.38 trillion) for the first time in the first quarter of 2024, official data showed on Friday.
During the January-March period, China's foreign trade volume in goods amounted to 10.17 trillion yuan (around $1.4 trillion), the state-run news outlet Xinhua reported.
The country's exports rose by 4.9% to 5.74 trillion yuan ($793.1 billion).
China's imports also increased by 5% to 4.43 trillion yuan ($612.1 billion).
