ISTANBUL (AA) - China on Monday announced that its special envoy on Euro-Asia affairs will begin his mission next week to find a political solution to the Ukraine-Russia crisis.
The country’s Foreign Ministry said Li Hui, China’s special envoy for Euro-Asia affairs, will visit Ukraine, Poland, France, Germany, and Russia from Monday.
He will “communicate with all parties on a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis,” according to Chinese public broadcaster CGTN.
The announcement comes after China’s President Xi Jinping told his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy last month during his first phone call since the war began last year that Beijing will send its special envoy to find a solution to the crisis.
