ISTANBUL (AA) – The unemployment rate in China remained at 5% in November, unchanging from the previous month, the National Bureau of Statistics of China released data on Friday.
"The surveyed unemployment rate of population with local household registration was 5.1 percent and that of (the) population with non-local household registration was 4.7 percent, of which, the rate of population with non-local agricultural household registration stood at 4.4 percent," the bureau said.
The rate was 5% in 31 major cities, the bureau said, citing urban survey findings.
It added that employees of enterprises worked 48.9 hours per week on average.
