ISTANBUL (AA) - Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun and his Saudi counterpart Khalid bin Salman met Tuesday in Beijing to discuss ways to further enhance bilateral ties.
"We explored ways to strengthen Saudi-Chinese relations within the framework of our strategic defense partnership," Salman wrote on X.
He said they also discussed their "coordination efforts to promote international peace and security."
China successfully mediated a reconciliation agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran in March last year, ending years of tensions between the two countries.
