MOSCOW (AA) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyar Saidov on Wednesday held their first "strategic dialogue" meeting.
The meeting took place in Beijing and its agenda included a wide range of issues, including political and economic cooperation, Saidov said on X.
"Together with dear colleague, a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chinese Foreign Minister His Excellency Wang Yi held the first strategic dialogue between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs. The enduring and dynamic Uzbek-Chinese strategic partnership has risen to a new high-level over the recent years," the Uzbek foreign minister said.
Saidov said that “special attention” was paid to the full implementation of all agreements reached at the highest level, as well as "enriching economic diplomacy with tangible results."
"Stand ready to mobilize all the efforts to further deepen our close cooperation in all areas," he said.
As part of his visit to China, Saidov also participated in the Uzbekistan-China Business Forum and met with senior executives of leading Chinese companies.
