RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - Clashes erupted across the occupied West Bank on Sunday between Palestinians and Israeli forces, who used live bullets to disperse them.
The latest incident occurred as Palestinians organized rallies to protest Israeli attacks on Gaza, according to an Anadolu reporter at the scene.
The Israeli army dispersed a rally near the city of Ramallah using live and rubber-coated bullets and teargas.
Another rally was organized in the Bab al-Zawiya area in the city of Hebron, where the Israeli army also clashed with Palestinians.
Early on Sunday, Palestinians mourned six Palestinians who were killed by Israeli forces across the West Bank on Saturday.
On Saturday, Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, saying the surprise attack on Israel was in response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and increased settler violence. It said it fired rockets and captured many Israelis.
The Israeli army in turn initiated Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
