ROME (AA) – Italian climate activists on Monday blocked roads in Milano and Cagliari to raise awareness about climate change.
Activists from Ultima Generazione, or Last Generation, blocked traffic as they sit in the middle of the roads during protests.
Gendarmerie forces intervened in the protest on the Lucania boulevard in Milano where six activists were removed from the road.
In Cagliari, activists blocked the traffic on the Rome street, where tensions rose between commuters and activists.
The activist group Last Generation has held protests at historical places, especially at historical fountains, since 2022.
