ANKARA (AA) - Climate activists will hold a virtual march next month in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, an Australian-based organization said Thursday.
"On September 18, young people across the country are taking action to fight for good jobs and a safe climate as part of No Turning Back," the Tomorrow Movement said.
Participants will submit a full-length photo of themselves holding a sign saying #NoTurningBack. These photos will be displayed at a virtual march at an iconic Melbourne location.
"We will be using light painting tools to capture a powerful image of young people marching in the night, demanding that we use this crisis to create good jobs and a safe climate for all of us," it added.
People from everywhere can join the demonstration to stand in solidarity with Australian people and to send "a clear message" to the Australian government.
