ANKARA (AA) - Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard took a knee injury on Wednesday that will keep him out "indefinitely," an NBA insider said.
"Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard suffered a right knee sprain and is out indefinitely," Shams Charania said on Twitter.
Leonard, 29, has been a Clippers member since 2019. He won the NBA title with the San Antonio Spurs (2014) and Toronto Raptors (2019).
The Clippers are currently playing against the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference semifinals as the series tied 2-2.
Charania separately tweeted that Phoenix Suns playmaker guard Chris Paul, 36, was taken into quarantine over the coronavirus and would also be ineligible for "an indefinite period of time."
"Phoenix Suns All-NBA guard Chris Paul has entered COVID-19 health and safety protocols and is sidelined for an indefinite period of time, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium," Charania said.
Paul is an 11-time NBA All-Star.
Phoenix on Sunday swept the Denver Nuggets 4-0 to qualify for the Western Conference finals.
