ISTANBUL (AA) - Cole Hocker bagged a gold medal in the men's 1,500-meter race for Team USA and set an Olympic record of 3:27.65 on Tuesday.
"It’s an unbelievable feeling," Hocker said after the victory.
"I just felt like I was getting carried by the stadium and God. My body just kind of did it for me. My mind was all there and I saw that finish line," the 23-year-old added.
Josh Kerr from Great Britain won the silver medal with a time of 3:27.79, and US athlete Yared Nuguse took the bronze with a personal best of 3:27.80.
