ISTANBUL (AA) – Colombian President Gustavo Petro will pay an official three-day visit to China on Tuesday.
At the invitation of China’s President Xi Jinping, Petro will pay a state visit which will conclude on Thursday, said China’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying.
China is the second-largest trading partner of the South American nation and this year the two nations are celebrating 43 years of diplomatic relations.
It was in 1980 that Colombia switched relations from Taiwan to Beijing.
