ISTANBUL (AA) - Colombian forward Radamel Falcao moved to La Liga side Rayo Vallecano as a free agent, the Spanish club confirmed Saturday.
Falcao failed to meet expectations with Galatasaray in Turkey. He suffered several injuries and played just 43 matches in two seasons.
Lions fans were disappointed with his only 20-goal season after moving to Galatasaray from Monaco in 2019.
He departed the Istanbul side on June 1 by mutual consent.
The Colombian star previously made appearances for France's Monaco, Argentina's River Plate, Portuguese club Porto, Spanish team Atletico Madrid, along with English powerhouses Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 35-year-old forward lifted the UEFA Europa League titles with Porto in 2011 and Atletico Madrid in 2012.
Falcao helped Monaco win the French top-tier Ligue 1 title in 2017, ending Paris Saint-Germain's four-season domination.
