LONDON (AA) - A group of protesters demonstrated Wednesday in London to "shut down" the Fisher German property consultancy company for its ties to Israeli-owned weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems.
The demonstration outside Fisher German’s London office was on International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
The crowd, carrying Palestinian flags, accused Fisher German of renting sites to Elbit Systems, which they accused of "committing genocide."
Protesters denounced the British government for supporting Israel in the onslaught against the Gaza Strip and chanted pro-Palestinian slogans, including "Free Palestine" and the famous refrain: "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."
It came as part of a coordinated national action as similar protests also took place in Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.
Elbit Systems have long been criticized for sending weapons to Israel which has brought backlash to the British government for being "complicit in Israeli crimes."
Israel launched a massive military campaign in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, on Oct. 7.
It has since killed over 15,000 people, including 6,150 children and 4,000 women, according to health authorities in the enclave.
The official Israeli death toll stands at 1,200.
