ANKARA (AA) - Cuban boxer Julio la Cruz sealed the men's heavyweight gold at Tokyo Olympics on Friday.
Having secured his second Olympic gold medal, la Cruz, 31, beat Muslim Gadzhimagomedov from the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) on unanimous points in the final.
The four-time world champion was wounded in his hip after being shot in a 2014 armed robbery in his country.
Since then, La Cruz went on to fight in sporting contests to win two Olympic gold medals.
He was the light-heavyweight champion in Rio 2016, his maiden Olympic title.
