ISTANBUL (AA) - Czech tennis star Karolina Pliskova was eliminated in the second round of the French Open on Thursday.
Leolia Jeanjean, who is currently ranked 227 in women's singles, defeated 8th seed Pliskova with the sets of 6-2 and 6-2 at the Court Simonne-Mathieu in Paris. This means seven of the top 12 women's seeds have already been eliminated.
Barbora Krejcikova (No.2 seed), Anett Kontaveit (No.5), Ons Jabeur (No.6), Garbine Muguruza (No.10), Maria Sakkari (No.4), Karolina Pliskova (No. 8) and Emma Raducanu (No.12) said goodbye to Roland Garros.
The French Open kicked off on May 22, and will end with the final match on June 5.
