ISTANBUL (AA) - Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic will be out for at least one week after suffering a right wrist sprain, the team said Thursday.
"The Dallas Mavericks announced today that an MRI revealed a right wrist sprain for guard Luka Doncic," it said in a statement. "Doncic sustained the injury during the Mavericks’ game against New Orleans on Tuesday. Doncic will be reevaluated in one week."
Doncic, 25, was injured in the Mavs’ 132-91 win Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Slovenian guard averaged 28.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.6 assists for Dallas this season.
He will miss the next four games, including a matchup Friday at Denver, Sunday at Miami, Monday in Atlanta and a home game Wednesday against New York.
