ISTANBUL (AA) - Real Madrid on Friday said right-back Dani Carvajal underwent a successful knee surgery and will now begin his recovery process.
"Today, Dani Carvajal underwent successful surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and posterior-external instability in his right knee, under the supervision of Real Madrid's Medical Department," a statement read.
Carvajal left the pitch in tears after suffering a serious knee injury during Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Villarreal on Oct. 6.
The 32-year-old right-back has scored one goal and one assist in 11 games for the Spanish giants.
