ANKARA (AA) – Christian Eriksen, Denmark's midfielder, is now 'fine' in hospital after collapsing during his nation's EURO 2020 opener against Finland in Group B.
"Hello everyone. Big thanks for your sweet and amazing greetings and messages from all around the world. It means a lot to me and my family," the 29-year-old midfielder said on Tuesday in an Instagram post shared with his photo.
"I’m fine – under the circumstances. I still have to go through some examinations at the hospital, but I feel okay. Now, I will cheer on the boys on the Denmark team in the next matches. Play for all of Denmark. Best. Christian," the message stated.
Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest in the 42nd minute of the game at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on Saturday.
