GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - The bodies of seven Palestinians were recovered from the rubble on Saturday, raising the death toll from an Israeli airstrike on a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza to 24.

Medical sources told Anadolu that the bodies of seven Palestinians were pulled from the debris of a house belonging to the Al-Nadi family, which was hit by Israeli forces on Friday night.

Initially, 17 Palestinians were killed, and more than 50 others, mostly women and children, were injured in the attack, according to medical sources speaking to Anadolu.

Israel launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, so far killing over 44,600 people, most of them women and children, and injuring nearly 106,000

The second year of the genocide in Gaza has drawn growing international condemnation, with officials and institutions denouncing the attacks and blocking of aid deliveries as a deliberate attempt to destroy the population.

Last month, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
