ANKARA (AA) - Naomi Osaka easily won in straight sets on Wednesday against American Madison Brengle at the 2022 Australian Open women’s singles second round.
The defending champion extended her tournament winning streak to nine matches, winning 6-0, 6-4.
Next up for Osaka will be American Amanda Anisimova, who upset Tokyo Olympics gold winner Swiss Belinda Bencic 6-2, 7-5.

Meanwhile, Hubert Hurkacz suffered a shocking men's second round defeat, 4-6, 2-6, 3-6 against French Adrian Mannarino.
The Polish world No.11 has not been able to reach the third round of Australian Open in his career.
Mannarino, 33, has now reached the third round for a third time.
World No. 3 Alexander Zverev also made it to the third round by defeating John Millman from Australia.
