US

WASHINGTON - UN Security Council members to receive briefing followed by consultations on Sudan.

WASHINGTON - Senate Judiciary Committee to hold hearing on oversight of Federal Bureau of Prisons, with Director Colette Peters due to testify.

WASHINGTON - House Committee on Homeland Security to hold hearing on border crossings, titled An Unbearable Price: The Devastating Human Costs of the Biden-Mayorkas Border Crisis.


THE ECONOMY

LUXEMBOURG - Eurostat to reveal industrial production figures for July. The market forecast is a 0.7% monthly decline for July. Eurozone industrial production rose by 0.5% month-over-month in June, after a revised flat reading in the prior month. On a yearly basis, industrial production fell by 1.2% in June, following an upwardly revised 2.5% decline in May.
