PALESTINE

GAZA CITY - The end of temporary humanitarian pause between Palestinian factions and Israel has led to a surge in Israeli attacks and dozens of people have been killed in resumed attacks that exacerbate the suffering of the displaced Gazans. The people of Gaza hope for an end to the devastating attacks launched by the Israeli army on the enclave since Oct. 7.

RAMALLAH - Tensions continue to escalate due to frequent Israeli army incursions into cities and towns in the West Bank, resulting in clashes, Palestinian targeting, and arrests. More than 3,400 Palestinians have been detained since Oct. 7.

LEBANON

BEIRUT - Escalation on the southern Lebanese border continue between Lebanese Hezbollah group and Israel. Cross-border attacks have been underway since Oct. 8.

ISRAEL

TEL AVIV – Talks in Qatar to reach cease-fire in the Gaza Strip have hit an impasse as the Mossad, Israel’s spy agency, ordered a delegation of the intelligence agency to return to Tel Aviv, accusing Palestinian resistance group Hamas of not fulfilling its side of an agreement to extend the pause. International mediators yet expected to continue make efforts to facilitate the process to reach de-escalation in the Gaza Strip.

INDIA

NEW DELHI - Vote count in key provincial elections in four Indian states to take place on Sunday. Final results are expected to come out on the same day.


PAKISTAN

GILGIT-BALTISTAN - Transporters to go on strike after at least eight people were killed in a shooting on a passenger bus in northern Gilgit Baltistan, which has relatively been a peaceful region in recent years.
