Gaza City – Israel continues its deadly offensive on 107th day of the war on the Gaza Strip, where the death toll stands at 24,927 with 62,388 others injured, predominantly women and children.
Unprecedented destruction has ensued, leading to an unparalleled humanitarian and health crisis. The United Nations reports that one million Palestinian women are among the 1.9 million displaced, with two mothers losing their lives every hour, and around 10,000 children orphaned due to Israeli attacks.
Ramallah – The anticipated Israeli raids into cities and towns in the West Bank, which have become intense and a daily matter since Israel launched a military offensive against the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7. A total of 370 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 4,200 others injured since then. With the latest arrests, the Israeli army has detained 6,115 Palestinians during its incursions.
ISRAEL
Tel Aviv – Developments of the Israeli military operation in Gaza since Hamas' attack, which resulted in the death of 530 soldiers since Oct. 7, and 194 others since the start of the ground operation in various areas of Gaza.
LEBANON
Beirut – Tensions and cross-border clashes between Lebanese group Hezbollah and Israeli army have been continuing since Oct. 8, 2023.
The cross-border clashes resulted in nearly 200 killed on the Lebanese side. An Israeli drone targeted a vehicle near Tyre City and killed two individuals on Saturday. On the Israeli side, the number given by Israeli media is 19, including 12 soldiers and 7 civilians.
SYRIA
Damascus – Developments unfolded after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Saturday that four of its members were killed in an Israeli attack on the Syrian capital, Damascus, with Tel Aviv not claiming responsibility for the assault.
YEMEN
Sanaa – Ongoing developments in the Red Sea. The US and UK have been conducting a series of military raids in Yemen since Jan. 11, resulting in casualties among Houthi fighters, as reported by Yemeni authorities. Despite assertions from the US and British officials about the ongoing bombing of Houthi targets in Yemen, the rebel group in Yemen has affirmed its commitment to preventing ships linked to Israel from sailing in the Red Sea in solidarity with the Gaza Strip.

Art ‘fastest, impartial’ way of raising awareness about sustainability, environment, say Turkish artists

ANKARA (AA) – A single work of art is the fastest and most impartial way to raise awareness on sustainability and the environment, according to a Turkish artist.
“Thousands of texts are written about sustainability and solutions are still sought, but we can actually convey all these messages with a single work of art. Art is the fastest and impartial means of communication,” Deniz Sagdic told Anadolu.
Sagdic, a visual artist, wants to inspire eco-friendly sustainable ideas while drawing attention to the sustainability of art.

ISTANBUL (AA) – The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is reaching catastrophic levels, intensifying each day. Over the past three months of the conflict, the United Nations authorities described Gaza as “a place of death and despair.”
Nearly 25,000 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and almost 63,500 injured since Israeli attacks on Gaza on Oct. 7, according to the Health Ministry in the blockaded enclave.
