Israeli onslaught on Gaza

Humanitarian and military developments in Gaza, where Israel has killed over 41,100 Palestinians and injured more than 95,100 since the Oct. 7 Hamas incursion. The situation deteriorates as Israeli attacks continue, and aid becomes scarce in the besieged enclave.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said Thursday six staffers were killed in Israeli airstrikes on a UN-run school in the central Gaza Strip the previous day.

The attacks claimed the lives of at least 18 people where Israeli fighter jets targeted al-Jaouni School in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

In related incidents, at least 21 Palestinians were killed on Thursday in Israeli attacks on the several areas in Gaza City, the Jabalia refugee camp and Rafah city.

Polio vaccination campaign in Gaza Strip

Amid ongoing Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, at least 527,776 children have received the first dose of the polio vaccine, out of 640,000 children under the age of 10, reaching 82.5% of targeted children, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

The third and final phase of the campaign, which is expected to last for four days, began in northern Gaza on Tuesday to vaccinate around 14,000 children against polio. The first and second phases of the campaign covered central and southern Gaza.


Israeli killing of Turkish American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi in Nablus

More reactions to the killing of a Turkish American activist by Israeli forces while participating in a peaceful anti-settlement protest near Nablus city in the occupied West Bank on Friday.

Türkiye has initiated an investigation into the killing of Eygi. Her body will arrive in the country on Friday, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry.


West Bank raids

Israeli military raids on Palestinian cities and towns in the occupied West Bank since October last year have killed more than 700 people and injured 5,700 others, with over 10,400 taken into custody.

The Israeli army on Thursday killed a Palestinian man in the Al Far'a refugee camp in the city of Tubas.

Li Qiang arrived in Abu Dhabi and met President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday. The two discussed bilateral relations.

His visit follows a trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which concluded on Wednesday and where he held high-level talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
