Israel’s genocidal assault on war-torn Gaza

Relentless Israeli bombardment which continues to claim more Palestinian lives amid deteriorating living conditions.

Three people lost their lives, including two women, when Israeli fighter jets hit a house in eastern Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, a medical source said on Wednesday.

Two more Palestinians were killed Wednesday in a drone strike on a gathering of citizens in eastern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Palestinian enclave since Oct. 7 last year has reached, as of Tuesday, nearly 43,400, with more than 102,400 others injured, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

Israel’s siege, ground incursion in northern Gaza Strip continues

Israel's more than month-long siege, ground invasion, and bombardment of the northern Gaza Strip continue amid food, water, fuel, and medicine shortages.

In the northern town of Beit Lahia, five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a home, a medical source told Anadolu on Wednesday.

The source added that another Palestinian was killed and five others were injured on Wednesday in a strike targeting a school sheltering displaced people in Jabalia in northern Gaza.

Israeli aggression in Lebanon

Israel's unbroken attacks on Lebanon and the Hezbollah group's targeting of Israel with rockets and drones.

At least 30 Lebanese were killed and 35 others injured on Wednesday in 20 Israeli airstrikes on the Baalbek-Hermel of eastern Lebanon, the provincial Governor Bachir Khodr said.

The Israeli military on Wednesday further attacked the Haret Hreik in the southern suburb of Beirut.

For its part, Hezbollah has struck Tel Aviv, central Israel, twice on Wednesday and a rocket hit near Ben Gurion airport.

Several Israelis were injured Wednesday after rockets hit the Avivim settlement in Upper Galilee in northern Israel. About 50 rockets were fired from Lebanon toward Avivim, with at least 10 of them landing in the settlement, said the Israeli Channel 12.

Donald Trump elected US president

More Arab reactions after former US President Donald Trump won Nov. 5 presidential elections.

Arab countries, including Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, UAE, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and Morocco, congratulated Trump on Wednesday for his win.

Palestinian group Hamas said Wednesday its position on the new US administration “depends on its practical behavior toward the Palestinian people, their legitimate rights and cause.”

West Bank raids

Israel’s daily military raids on Palestinian cities and towns in occupied West Bank.

Two Israelis were slightly injured on Wednesday in a car ramming incident in the central West Bank, the Israeli national ambulance reported.

Israel has killed at least 777 people since October of last year, including 160 children, and injured nearly 6,300 others, with over 11,600 taken into custody.

Biden's address on presidential election

President Joe Biden to address the nation to discuss the election results and the transition after Republican Donald Trump won the presidential race to become 47th president of the US.

Germany’s Destatis to reveal foreign trade data for September. Previous month, foreign trade surplus in the country was at €24.3 billion.

Eurozone retail sales

Eurostat to share retail sales figures for the euro area for September. In August, retail sales saw a slight increase of 0.8% and another slight raise is expected for September.

UK’s interest rate

The Bank of England will share interest rate decision. The bank lowered the rate from 5.25% to 5% in August, kept the rate constant in September and market expectation for the new meeting is a cut of 25 basis points.

US jobless claims

US to share weekly jobless claims data.

Bosphorus Summit

The 15th Bosphorus Summit will begin in Turkish metropolitan Istanbul under the main theme of “Building Bridges Towards the Future: Peace, Technology and Sustainability.” Besides attendance of experts, academics, politics and private sector representatives, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to send a video message to the event.
