ISTANBUL (AA) - London-based valuation consultancy's research showed that digital streaming brands YouTube and Netflix ranked as the second and third brands in among top 10 media brands, where Disney was the first.
While Disney saved its place as the first brand in the list in 2019 versus the previous year, YouTube and Netflix entered the list for the first time, according to Brand Finance's report on Wednesday.
David Haigh, the CEO of the consultancy, said: "Digital streaming platforms have revolutionized home entertainment, as they are better able to adapt to the needs of modern consumers seeking on demand and advertising free content."
Disney brand's value was $45.75 billion in 2019, up 40.4% compared to 2018, while brands of YouTube and Netflix's value were $37.8 billion and $21.1 billion.
Fox, Universal, NBC, Warner Bros., CBS, Sky and ESPN were other most valuable media brands in the report.
The report noted that rising demand for digital platforms caused dropping traditional network and studios brands' value.
The U.S.-based brands dominated the list with 9 brands, while only one the U.K.-based brand (Sky) was in the list.
