ISTANBUL (AA) - Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic defeated Christian Garin to advance to the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Monday.
World number one Djokovic eliminated Garin from Chile 6-2, 6-4, and 6-2 at London's Center Court.
Hungarian player Marton Fucsovics reached his first Grand Slam quarterfinals after defeating Andrey Rublev of Russia (6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3) in five sets.
He also became the first Hungarian to make the last eight at the tournament since Jozsef Asboth in 1948.
Denis Shapovalov beat Roberto Bautista 3-0, while Karen Khachanov defeated Sebastian Korda 3-2 to move to the last eight of the championships.
In the women's singles, world number one Ashleigh Barty qualified for the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the first time with a 7-5 and 6-3 win against Barbora Krejcikova.
Also, Karolina Pliskova defeated Ludmilla Samsonova 6-2 and 6-3 to reach the quarterfinals.
