ANKARA (AA) - Novak Djokovic joined the dream Team Europe lineup for the fifth edition of the Laver Cup, according to a statement published by the organizers on Friday.
The reigning Wimbledon champion joined big names, including Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray.
"I’m really excited to be joining Team Europe again for the Laver Cup at London’s O2 arena in September," said the 21-time Grand Slam winner.
"It’s the only competition where you can play in a team environment with guys that you’re normally competing against and to be joining Rafa, Roger and Andy – three of my biggest all-time rivals – it’s going to be a truly unique moment in the history of our sport," he added.
Team Europe captain Bjorn Borg said: "I don’t think I could have imagined having these four icons of the sport on one team together. I know they, like I, appreciate the significance of this moment and will be truly up for it."
In the Laver Cup, which was first held six years ago, each team has six players and led by a team captain, who is a legend of the sport.
