NEW YORK (AA) - Wall Street closed mixed Thursday as a rise in oil prices was balanced with a decline in tech stocks.
The Dow added 34 points to finish at 20,810, marking its tenth consecutive trading day with gains.
The S&P rose less than a point to to 2,363.
The Nasdaq, however, lost 25 points to close at 5,835 to mark losses for two days in a row for the first time this year.
Oil prices were on the rise after weekly crude inventories in the U.S. increased less than expected.
At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was up 1.4 percent to $54.36.
International benchmark Brent crude was at $56.46 -- a 1.1 percent gain.
Automaker Tesla saw its shares decline 6.6 percent, while shaves of computer graphic manufacturer Nvidia were down 9.3 percent.
