LONDON (AA) – The coalition government in the Netherlands collapsed after it failed to reach an agreement over how to deal with asylum seekers entering the country, local media said on Friday.
After days of talks between the key members of the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Mark Rutte, they were unable to reach a deal and the ruling coalition collapsed, NL Times reported, citing a source "close to talks."
The collapse means the end of the fourth term of Rutte's Cabinet that was inaugurated on Jan. 10, 2022.
