ANKARA (AA) - Dutch tennis player Jean-Julien Rojer withdrew from the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games on Monday after testing positive for coronavirus.

In a statement, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) said Rojer, 39, "has tested positive for COVID-19 and placed in isolation as per the set procedures."

"Rojer and his partner Wesley Koolhof have been withdrawn from the men's doubles event," the ITF added.

The Dutch pair's opponents in the men's doubles second round, Marcus Daniell and Michael Venus from New Zealand, have automatically qualified for the quarterfinals in the Japanese capital.
