ISTANBUL (AA) – The World E-commerce Forum (Worldef) began in the Turkish metropolitan Istanbul on Thursday, bringing together industry professionals to discuss hot topics about the sector's future.
Omer Nart, the chair of the forum, said at the event that the world e-commerce market is estimated at around $8 trillion, and it is increasing year by year.
Nart noted that the e-commerce market's size in Türkiye stands at $78 billion.
He said the forum is gathering all stakeholders of the sector under a global vision in Istanbul.
Nart said the forum has been organized since 2016, this year for the 11th time, and there will be new sessions of the forum in Dubai and Frankfurt in the future.
The event hosts around 20,000 visitors from 39 countries, with 40% of them being foreign delegates, and offers around 200 exhibition stands.
