ANKARA (AA) – Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi on Friday reaffirmed his commitment to combating the "challenge" of climate change.
Speaking at the World Climate Action Summit COP28 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, President al-Sisi mentioned the COP27 held in Egypt's Sharm al-Sheikh city, where pledges were made to work on establishing a fund to finance developing countries dealing with climate issues.
Al-Sisi stressed “the necessity of formulating a joint vision that includes agreed upon recommendations” on developing all aspects to facilitate climate solutions, particularly to help developing countries.
He concluded his speech with a plea for “all parties to provide full and sincere support to the UAE to ensure that the Dubai conference produces historic results that confirm to all the peoples of the world that we are determined and even able, Inshallah (God willing), to save and protect Planet Earth.”
