ISTANBUL (AA) - Philadelphia 76ers claimed a 105-87 victory over Los Angeles Lakers in an NBA game on Thursday.
Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris delivered stunning performances in the game, leading Philadelphia to a home victory over a LA Lakers team playing without LeBron James.
Embiid scored 26 points, nine-rebound, and seven assists while Tobias Harris produced 23 points and five rebounds for their team.
"I was not very good tonight, so I was happy my teammates were able to pick me up," Embiid said on NBA.com.
The Sixers made a nice start at the beginning, having a 32-22 lead at the end of the first quarter, but was then outscored 22-26 in the second quarter.
Philadelphia had a 20-point advantage at the end of the third quarter, 91-87, at Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia.
Tyrese Maxey posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists, while Turkish international Furkan Korkmaz scored five points.
The Lakers tasted an away defeat despite the big performance from Anthony Davis. Eight-time All-Star Davis made a double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds.
Russell Westbrook scored 20 points while Malik Monk finished with 11 points for their team.
LA Lakers superstar LeBron James did not play because of left knee soreness.
With the win, the Philadelphia 76ers improved to a 29-19 win/loss, while Los Angeles Lakers have a 24-25 win/loss record in the Western Conference.

Golden State Warriors claimed a 124-115 win over Minnesota Timberwolves to seal their fourth consecutive win at Chase Center.
Stephen Curry was the highest scorer of his team with 29 points and eight rebounds as Klay Thompson produced 23 points.
For the losing side, Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 31 points.
The Warriors are second in the Western Conference with 36 wins and 13 defeats, while Minnesota Timberwolves have a 24-24 win/loss record.
