ANKARA (AA) – EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on Thursday acquired Spanish basketball star Nikola Mirotic in one of the biggest signings in Europe.
In a statement, Emporio Armani Milan announced that 32-year-old power forward Mirotic, who is of Montenegrin descent, has inked a multi-year deal with the Italian club until 2026.
The 2021-22 EuroLeague season's MVP (Most Valuable Player) arrived from Spain's Barcelona, where he played between 2019 and 2023.
Last season, Mirotic averaged 15.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in 29 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games.
Before his four-year stint at Barcelona, Mirotic played for Spanish club Real Madrid, and NBA franchises Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, and Milwaukee Bucks.
Mirotic won one Spanish title with Real Madrid in 2013, before adding two others to his trophy cabinet with Barcelona in 2021 and 2023.
He helped Spain win a gold medal at the EuroBasket 2015 held in France.
In 2016, Mirotic also won Olympic bronze with the Spanish national team in Rio de Janeiro.
