English team Aston Villa will take on Greek side Olympiacos in the UEFA Conference League semifinal first leg on Thursday.
The 1982 European Cup winners Aston Villa will play their second UEFA competition semifinal.
Under the helm of multiple-Europa League winner Spanish coach Unai Emery, the Villans have been enjoying a good season. They are fourth in the English Premier League with 67 points, and participated in their first European campaign since 2010-11.
The hero of 2022 FIFA World Cup winners Argentina, Aston Villa goalie Emiliano Martinez expressed his faith in his team, saying: "This group of players and the manager are really special. It feels like we're going to do something special."
Olympiacos eliminated Turkish club Fenerbahce in quarterfinals with a 3-2 penalty shootout, after sides leveled at 3-3 on aggregate.
