Erdogan, Biden to meet in Rome on Sunday: US official

Turkish president last met US counterpart during NATO summit in Brussels in June

WASHINGTON (AA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Joe Biden will meet in Rome on Sunday, said a senior US official on Saturday.

Both leaders are currently in Italy's capital for the two-day G20 leaders' summit that started on Saturday.

On Thursday, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said he expected a meeting between the two leaders in Glasgow, Scotland, but it has not been confirmed.

Both leaders will also attend the world leaders' summit at the start of the UN Climate Change Conference, known as COP26, on Monday.

Erdogan last met Biden during a NATO summit in Brussels in June.
