BAIDOA, Somalia (AA) - Ethiopia congratulated Türkiye on Sunday on the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic of Türkiye.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the country wishes to express its appreciation for the strong partnership and enduring friendship exhibited throughout the years and commits to strengthening the already strong cooperation even further.
”Wishing a prosperous and peaceful future to the Republic of Türkiye,” it said on X.
Marking the anniversary, Turkish diplomats in the capital Addis Ababa met with Ethiopians who graduated from Turkish universities.
“We would like to thank the Turkish Alumni Association for their contribution to this meaningful event. So glad to have you,” the Turkish embassy in Ethiopia and the African Union said in a joint statement.
